IRCTC has unveiled a new IRCTC official app, in collaboration with Microsoft India. The app will be available exclusively on devices running on and Windows 8, according to a press release.
Now users can plan their travel, book train tickets and do much more on-the-move, using their Windows Phone, Windows 8 tablet or PC. The app will be available for use throughout the day, except between 0800-1200 hrs and 2330-0030 hrs. It performs all the tasks that are available on the IRCTC website. Along with that, users get some new and exciting features, such as visual maps of train routes, Windows Phone live tiles glowing up as tickets and access to saved traveler profiles from multiple devices.
